Seventy-year-old Om Kumar arrived at a medical clinic looking fatigued and ready to collapse. He was taken to see a physician who reviewed his medical history and asked several questions.
Tihar jail, opened in 1958, is the largest prison complex in Asia. The jail remains seriously overcrowded. As of 2016 Tihar has more than 13,500 inmates, however the sanctioned capacity is just 5,200.
